Kenny was one of 11 riders who made it into the jump-off aboard the Ann Thompson-owned stallion Balou du Reventon. A second clear round for the Irishman in 39.38 seconds saw him take third place on the podium at the finish. Victory went to Germany’s Marcus Ehning with Pret A Tout (38.41), while the home fans saw Swiss favourite Steve Guerdat take runner-up spot with Albfuehren´s Bianca in 38.86.The result capped a good weekend for Irish riders in Geneva, with Co Louth’s Mark McAuley (pictured) taking a win with Vivaldi du Theil in Saturday’s Speed and Handiness competition.Bertram Allen and GK CasperAlso on Saturday, Bertram Allen guided GK Casper to a runner-up finish in the Credit Suisse Challenge 1m55 just behind American winner Kent Farrington with Creedance. Riding Hector van D’Abdijhoeve, Allen was also part of the “Team All Stars” who took victory in Swiss Team Trophy.Padraig McCarthyIrish Eventing rider Padraig McCarthy, team and individual silver medalist at the World Equestrian Games, guided Rosemaber Lancuest to the winning round in Geneva’s indoor Cross Country competition.
